I know Mario was named Mario because someone at Nintendo said that the character looked like his landlord (who was called Mario).

Also the reason he has a moustache is because it was easier to draw than a mouth on the old Nintendos.

He is also a plumber.

Do baby Mario and baby Bowser count as seperate characters? in Yoshi's island on SNES they were rather different to their adult selves.

LOL!!!! Wow..... the explanation to Nitendo's creativity. Thugh I knew about the Moustahce thing from some game review show, in which i have forgotten it s name and think I don't have that channel anymore.... or was it SBS?....

If baby mario and Baby Bowser are counted as different charcters, then should we include Dr. Mario, Paper Mario and Metal Mario?
